Representing Equality and Diversity (RED) Pilot Project - Stonham (part of Home Group)
Excellence in Equality and Diversity Case Study

Representing Equality and Diversity (RED) was a lively, creative, and experiential involvement pilot project that took place in Stonham’s Northern region. The scheme offered local residents the opportunity to build their skills, to develop their understanding and ability to influence equality and Diversity (E&D), both locally and regionally. The project simultaneously helped the organisation to improve the way they work with clients and customers and how they deliver their services by using the information and feedback gathered.
In their role as ‘RED Reps’ (many of whom were themselves from hard to reach groups) the participants agreed to bring their own perspective to Stonham’s work on E&D and to share their own ideas with other residents and staff. 2 TPAS – Connecting people to achieve great communities Using a variety of creative workshop exercises, they explored the concept of E&D and what that meant to them personally. The pilot was so successful that it is being implemented in Stonham’s Central region and there are plans to roll it out across the South West and South East regions.
