Bite Size - Start Making Sense of Performance and Value for Money

A course in two halves - a winner for everyone. The first session uses practical exercises to improveand help you make sense of performance information. The second session looks at what value for money really means and considers how tenants can assess it. Bite size allows you to book one or both sessions to suit your time and interests.

In the morning you will:

  • Have a go at practical exercises to improve your interpreting and questioning skills
  • Look at the pros and cons of different performance measures and types of information
  • See how you can use benchmarking to improve performance

In the afternoon you will

  • Discover what value for money means in practice with hands on group exercises
  • Discuss 'value for money' from the perspective of housing providers and tenants
  • Look at the difference between costs cutting and value for money
  • Consider new Regulatory expectations

This course is aimed at:

Residents involved in influencing, monitoring or scrutinising activities with their landlord.  Housing staff who work with residents and want an introduction to these topics.
