A Quality Accreditation to ensure your organisation excels in resident involvement
Resident Involvement Quality Standard (RIQ)
Everyone knows that involving residents in service development, delivery and improvement is a sound proposition. It makes you more approachable. More accountable. More attuned to residents’ views – resulting in solid business decisions and increased efficiency. But involving communities in accessible and imaginative ways isn’t always easy. Keeping people inspired is even more of a challenge. If you want resident involvement to underpin everything you do where exactly should you start and what should you be doing?
That’s where TPAS Resident Involvement Quality Standard (RIQ) comes in. It’s a new package of services, which assesses your approach to resident involvement and helps you to deliver continuous improvement.

It has been successfully adopted in a cross-section of housing organisations, and widely praised – including positive feedback from Housing Ministers. You’ll be equally enthused, once you’ve seen the results it can deliver for you and your residents.

Alison Hamnett , Salix Homes - Director of Improvement and Customer Service said:
'Salix Homes is delighted to have achieved three star recognition for their approach to customer involvement in their recent inspection by the Audit Commission. From the outset Salix Homes has placed great emphasis on customers being at the heart of everything we do.
TPAS have been instrumental in us achieving this recognition, they worked with customers to develop a Customer Involvement Strategy that directs continuous service improvement.
TPAS have worked closely with Salix Homes to develop the Customer Senate and this has been acknowledged as good practice, not only by the Audit Commission but the TSA, CIH and HQN.
We are very proud of what our partnership with TPAS has achieved for the customers of Salix Homes'
