Catherine Pickering

Catherine is a committed and passionate involvement advocate who is a Community ambassador in Richmond working across the Borough. This involves Catherine working with and supporting residents across the Borough's different landlords to promote involvement, make sure the residents' voice is heard and that they have the chance to affect the decisions that are made in their local communities. Catherine is also active with her landlord and uses that experience to help her make decisions with the Community Ambassadors. She regularly gives her time to help others, through walking with them on estate inspections, attending public meetings to represent the ambassadors or trying to recruit new members to become involved both locally and across the Borough. She is a very thoughtful and engaged resident who is good at seeing the bigger picture in housing while working to solve peoples' local problems. Catherine has become a natural leader of the project, and is not frightened of leading a group of ambassadors in working with their landlord to secure improvements.
