Nomination story
Alliance Homes would like to nominate Alisa Winder for this award as she have become a central part of of our newly increasing engagement program. Alisa is a fairly new tenant to social housing in the grand scheme of things but she is now an active scrutiny panel member who has volunteered her precious time away from a busy family of a husband and three children who all have extra needs to be involved in that panel and many of the engagement opportunities here at Alliance. She has helped to shape our new scrutiny objectives by working with an outside consultant to create a new engagement approach, she has shared good practice by writing celebratory blogs to highlight the value and worth of customer engagement, she has worked with us on a panel to help us chose grant bid funding for local communities where her knowledge and understanding of community groups were a huge benefit to us, and she often attends community events to represent engaged customers and advocate getting involved, all while also being a voice for her neighbours and minority groups.
