The Tenants’ Engagement Group (TEG) is a dedicated team of passionate council tenants and leaseholders who play a vital role in shaping Guildford Borough Council’s Housing Services. Meeting monthly, members generously give their time to ensure services are resident-focused, holding the Council to account and advocating where standards fall short.
In early 2026, during the during the Council’s inspection by the Regulator of Social Housing, TEG members shared honest reflections of their lived experiences. Their openness and commitment were instrumental in the Council achieving a C1 grading, demonstrating the impact of meaningful resident engagement.
The group currently consists of 11 committed members: Alan Wood, Tony Cuskern, Patrick Conroy, Patricia Ayling, Dale Askew, Janet Bell, Tom Wood, Annette Chalmers, Peter Purnell, Leslie Ceridwen and Laura Morberg. We would also like to extend our thanks to all those who have given their time in the past or are no longer with us.
