Local Authority/ALMO Staff Member Meet Up
Join our LA and ALMO staff member network, this has been set up to facilitate peer to peer support and learning amongst LA/ALMO’s staff.
There will be quarterley online meet ups and the group will have a dedicated online networking group on Tpas connect.
The session will be held on Zoom on Wednesday 1st July at 11am.

Scrutiny Special: Challenge, Change and Opportunity in Local Authorities
Scrutiny plays a vital role in improving services, strengthening accountability and ensuring residents’ voices influence decision-making. But what does effective scrutiny look like in local authorities today? What are the challenges around resident involvement, capacity and influence, and where are the opportunities to do things differently?
This interactive session will explore the current scrutiny landscape within local authorities, sharing experiences, challenges and examples of good practice. We’ll also consider the impact of recent local elections and discuss how changing political priorities and structures may shape scrutiny and resident influence in the future.
