Transform your resident engagement and community investment

We're looking initally for 10 heavily involved tenants to take part in two new problem solving Action Pod Programmes. (We will be running Action Pods for professionals later in the year).

Do you want to experience being part of an exciting approach to developing your skills and expertise?  If so, we're inviting you to be part of an expertly facilitated online group that offers a hands on and flexible learning approach based on the principles of action learning sets.

Our learners will be working and volunteering in a range of organisations and roles across the country in the resident engagement and community investment sector.  We're looking for a diverse mix of tenants to enrich the experience through roles such as:

  • Tenant board member
  • Scrutiny chairs, vice chair and team members
  • Tenant & resident association leaders
  • Tenant complaint forum members

During the programme, we will take you as far as you want to go to fix your issues across four sessions.  The two Action Pods for tenants will begin in March and run through to mid-July.


The cost will be £750 + VAT per person for Tpas Members and £850 + VAT for non members for 16 hours of a unique and powerful learning experience.  The Action Pods will be home to between 3 and 5 pod members.

The Tpas Action Pods will be challenging but you will be accompanied on the journey to resident involvement and community investment success by your cohort of similarly determined and driven peers looking to find not only their solutions to the issues they bring but yours too.

We piloted Action Pods in 2020 and our professional learners presented problems to solve across a range of key themes including:

  • Professional development
  • Management and leadership
  • Tenant engagement and community investment
  • Strategic, operational and project management
  • Internal relationships

With impacts covering:

  • Personal and professional development
  • Enhanced management practice
  • The power of sharing experience
  • Working as a group and reducing professional isolation
  • Taking the action learning process into their work

How it works

We will facilitate four sessions on Zoom.  Each four-hour Action Pod will run on Thursday mornings from 9.30am until 1.30pm and be scheduled approximately 5 weeks apart to create time for your agreed actions to be delivered.  All learning will receive a comprehensive induction pack before the sessions starts and the facilitator will liaise with the learners between Action Pods to keep everyone on track.

Make a difference

By the end of all the sessions you will have evidence of the process you've gone through and the learnings you've made. You'll be the author of a body of work to share with your colleagues and the sector and you'll have built new relationshops with your Action Pod members to take beyond the programme.

Group 2 - Tenants - Starte Date: Thursday 6 April 2023

As mentioned above each group will take part in 4 sessions at approximately 5 weekly intervals starting on the dates above.
