Monday 10th November

Day 1: Involvement – The Big PictureThe week started by looking at the wider context. Involvement isn’t just about listening, it’s about acting, changing and improving services and communities. The first day had set the tone for the week, covering the Regulator’s expectations, national standards, and real examples of great engagement from Tpas accredited landlords. Opening Session (10:00–10:15): Involvement Week 2025 Launch Tpas kicked off the week Live on our YouTube Channel. by introducing the theme, explaining why tenant voice and effective involvement matter more than ever, and gave a snapshot of what’s ahead. The Regulator’s Perspective We heard directly from the Regulator of Social Housing on the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard. Tpas Engagement Standards and Accreditation We heard from Gentoo and Hull City Council on their accreditation journey and how it has changed their culture and services. Tuesday 11th November
|
Day 2 - Involvement on the GroundThis day focused on grassroots community engagement, from walkabouts and neighbourhood projects to local tenants associations that are making a difference to places and services. Real people. Real stories. Real change.
Working Together: Strengthening Tenants & Residents Associations We shared top tips for running and supporting active, inclusive groups, and a hands-on “Let’s Fix It” exercise to tackle common challenges. Case Study Showcase: Tenant-Led Neighbourhood ImpactSt Leger Homes and Vico Homes shared practical examples of tenant involvement at a local level. The Slides are Available to Download |

Wednesday 12th November
|
Day 3: Rethinking InvolvementInvolvement is changing. This day explored new ideas, creative methods and digital tools that are reshaping how landlords and tenants connect. From AI to citzenship based approaches, it was all about rethinking involvement for the future. Get confident with AI Heard about Artificial Intelligence but not sure what it really means? This practical, down-to-earth session went through, how it’s used, and how it can help in everyday life. Workshop: Creative New Methods in Engagement We presented deliberative democracy, co-design and arts-based techniques as a practical, hands-on session with Caritas. The Slides are Now Available |

Thursday 13th November
|
Day 4: Involvement for Everyone – Inclusion and RepresentationGood involvement includes everyone. This day looked at whose voices are missing, why representation matters, and how to embed equity and inclusion in practice. Workshop: A Seat at the Table Based on Tpas’s recent report, Kai Jackson explored how ethnic minority voices can be better represented in housing engagement, with lived experience and clear steps for change. Workshop: Stonewall Housing LGBTQ+ Pledge We learned more about what the pledge means for housing involvement, and we heard from organisations already working with it, and explored how your organisation can become more inclusive. Friday 14th November
|
Day 5: Celebrating Tenant InvolvementWe finished the week by handing the mic to tenants. What does meaningful involvement look like in reality? This final day was about inspiration, challenge and celebration, with tenants leading the conversation and showing what works. Showcase (11:00–13:00): Closing Session(15:00–15:15): Key Takeaways Louise Holt, Head of Membership Services closed the week with key themes and a summary of the amazing conversations we had. |
