Local Authority/ALMO Staff Member Meet Up

Join our LA and ALMO staff member network, this has been set up to facilitate peer to peer support and learning amongst LA/ALMO’s staff. 

There will be quarterley online meet ups and the group will have a dedicated online networking group on Tpas connect.

'How to involve customers effectively in governance'

This meet up will focus on all the ways that tenants might be involved in council and ALMO governance, in other words, the strategy, policy and decision making processes of the landlord.

Tenants might be involved as ALMO board members, as tenant scrutineers, by working with cabinet members, with council scrutiny committees or through resident associations, to name just a few.

How can tenants best be supported?

What’s the best way to recruit people?

How do we link up existing structures to the wider policy and decision making of the organisation?

This interactive meetup will give participants a chance to network, hear what others are doing and find new things to try.

We will have two rounds of nine-minute networking, a conversation cafe and an open space to talk about anything you want, well, more or less anything you want.

We’ll collect useful ideas throughout the session and share them in a feedback report packed full of ideas and inspiration!
