Claire, local resident and mum to five-year-old Ethan and eight-year-old Jack, paid a visit to the community activities at Brooklands Pavilion in Milton Keynes. Claire said: “The boys get to see their friends and meet new ones and I do too! Today Jack is enjoying the bikes and trikes outdoors and Ethan is playing table football. We love it!”
Nicola King, Aragon’s Youth and Community Participation Officer, said: “Summer holidays can be a stressful time for parents who are trying to manage childcare and work. It’s good to offer the opportunity for children to get together, especially in more remote areas where access to holiday activities isn’t so easy.”
Part of the Grand Union Housing Group, Aragon’s ‘Shine’ youth summer programme is part of the social landlord’s wide-ranging community involvement programme which includes work and training programmes.
