Awaab's Law Research with Verian

Tuesday 17th of February 2026

Invitation to take part in Awaab's Law Research with Verian

Verian are conducting an important study to understand how Awaab’s Law is working in practice. This law requires landlords to fix serious issues such as damp and mould promptly, ensuring homes are safe and healthy.

The research is being carried out by Verian, an independent social research agency, on behalf of the Ministry of Homes, Communities and Local Government. They would like to hear from:

  • Tenants who have experienced repairs under Awaab’s Law since it came into effect on 27 October 2024.
  • Social landlords and their experiences of implementing Awaab’s Law and managing repairs under it.

What’s involved?

Tenants:

A short interview (45–60 minutes) online or by phone between late January and the end of February 2026.

You’ll receive a £50 high-street voucher as a thank-you for taking part.

Landlords:

A 2-hour online focus group with other social landlords between late January and the end of February 2026.

Please email them at awaabslaw@veriangroup.com to register your interest.

Please note: Verian will only use your email address to contact you about this research. Your details will not be used for any other purpose and will be handled in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Thank you for considering this opportunity. Your insights will help shape future guidance and improve the implementation of Awaab’s Law.
