Six for 2026 – What’s New for Members

Wednesday 7th of January 2026

Every year brings change, but 2026 feels like a year where we’re really sharpening our focus at Tpas. It’s about doing what we do best, supporting strong, meaningful tenant engagement while opening up new spaces for members to learn, connect and influence.

Alongside all the member benefits you already know and value, there are some new things launching this year. These are the six we're most excited about in 2026 because they respond directly to what members tell us they need, and they push us forward in the right direction.

1. A brand-new Best Practice Club

We’re launching a new Best Practice Club for members who want to move beyond theory and into what actually works. This will be a space for honest conversations, shared challenges and practical examples, not polished case studies that pretend everything went smoothly!

The aim is simple: to help members learn from each other, test ideas, and take away things they can realistically apply in their own organisations.

2. New research: Tenant Board Members

We’ll be publishing new research exploring the real experiences of tenant board members. This shares what’s working, what isn’t, and where the gaps still are when it comes to influence, support and confidence at governance level.

It’s about understanding lived experience at the table and what needs to change if tenant voices are to be genuinely heard, valued and effective.

3. Our first networking session for tenant board members

For the first time, we’re creating a dedicated networking space specifically for tenant board members. This is something members have been asking for, and it feels long overdue.

These sessions will give tenant board members the chance to connect with peers, share experiences, ask questions and support each other in what can often feel like a challenging role.

4. A fresh, exciting format for the National Engagement Professionals Conference

This year’s National Engagement Professionals Conference really will be different. We’re introducing Liberating Structures into the programme, practical methods designed to unleash creativity, spark collaboration and help people think and work differently together.

5. An all-member survey

In early 2026 we’ll be launching a new all-member survey, and this one really matters. It’s your opportunity to help shape what Tpas focuses on next from events and training to research and member support.

We want to hear what’s working for you, what isn’t, and where you think our energy should go next.

6. New Research for Tenants' Associations

We are kicking off some new research Tenants’ Associations: Surviving or Thriving? this will take an honest look at the realities facing tenant groups today, the pressures they’re under, and what support genuinely helps them succeed.

We're really looking forward to seeing how these develop over the year and to working with you to make the most of them.
