Get Ready for Awaab’s Law – Shaping the Guidance for Tenants (Free)
From October 2025, Awaab’s Law will come into force across the social rented sector. This vital change puts legal duties on landlords to fix serious health hazards like damp and mould within strict timeframes.
In this session, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)will share early thinking on the tenant guidance they’re developing to support people in understanding their rights and how to seek redress under the new law.
They’re looking for real feedback from tenants on what would be most helpful. Your voice could help shape how this law is communicated and implemented.
The session will be led by Isobel Ames (MHCLG) and supported by Caritas Charles, Tpas Senior Policy, Insight and Innovation Manager.
