Webinar: Housing Ombudsman 'Cold Comfort' (Free for members)

Tpas have partnered with The Housing Ombudsman again to bring you this Webinar based around their 'Cold Comfort' report.

This Webinar will be run in conjunction with The Housing Ombudsman.

The Housing Ombudsman’s latest thematic report was published on 16 February. ‘Cold comfort’ looks at complaints the Ombudsman has recently investigated about heating and hot water, gas safety and heat networks (district heating). It also looks at landlords’ complaint-handling and their approach to energy efficiency and innovation.

The report highlights the serious impact these complaints can have on residents, especially in winter months and when they involve vulnerable households.

The report summarises the lessons learnt from over 200 complaints from tenants and leaseholders and makes 40 recommendations for improvement. It also highlights 10 case studies from complaints brought to the Ombudsman – including some disturbing stories.

You can look at the report on here.

This webinar, from the Ombudsman’s expert trainers, will look at the report’s findings and recommendations and include time for questions and discussion.
