Building Safety Bill Gets Second Reading

Yesterday reached the second reading of the Building Safety Bill.  In the House of Commons the Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick announced Government intervention to support leaseholders in blocks of flats, following advice commissioned earlier this year from a group of fire safety experts.  

 

The report recommends that residents are reassured as to safety, and a more proportionate approach is urgently instituted, requiring action by all market participants.
