Kate Dodsworth becomes Deputy Chief Executive of the Regulator of Social Housing
Monday 1st of June 2026
Tpas welcomes the appointment of Kate Dodsworth as Deputy Chief Executive of the Regulator of Social Housing.
Kate has played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the strengthened consumer regulation framework, helping to place the experiences of tenants firmly at the heart of regulatory oversight. Her leadership has come at a time when the sector is rightly placing greater emphasis on accountability, transparency and the quality of services residents receive.
As the sector continues to adapt to the new consumer regulatory landscape, it is essential that tenant voice remains central to how landlords understand performance, shape services and drive improvement. Regulation can set expectations, but lasting change happens when residents are genuinely listened to, involved in decision-making and able to influence the services that affect their lives.
Kate has been a strong advocate for understanding the lived experiences behind the data and ensuring that the intent of consumer regulation translates into real improvements for tenants. As the sector continues its journey towards a more accountable and resident-focused culture, this perspective will be invaluable.
We look forward to continuing our positive relationship with Kate and colleagues at the Regulator of Social Housing and to working together to ensure that tenant voice is not only heard, but actively shapes the future of social housing.
"On behalf of everyone at Tpas, I congratulate Kate on her appointment and wish her every success in this important role."
