What a good idea, digital meetings, who would have thought that such good things could come from an enforced lockdown!

Paulette has joined Tpas on some of our recent virtual roundtable sessions, we asked Paulette to share her thoughts on how they went!

What a good idea, digital meetings, who would have thought that such good things could come from an enforced lockdown.

I have looked longingly at the Tpas publications advertising events on subjects that really interest me, but my caring duties get in my way of attending.

I signed up for my first roundtable 7th July “What will engagement look like after lockdown.”

It was very straightforward to “attend “ the zoom meeting and once we had all got used to remembering to unmute before we spoke, the meetings flowed beautifully. Everyone was very polite and all views could be expressed and heard. This isn’t always the case at normal face to face meetings although the excellent facilitator must not be over looked.

It was so good to see that other people in different parts of the country were having the same problems and we were all able to brainstorm and hopefully come up with ideas that would help us all.

I do hope these Zoom meetings will now form an everyday part of the Tpas experience. I’m sure they will not replace face to face events when it’s safe to hold them again but they will greatly enhance the brilliant and important work of Tpas.
