Engaging Communities Conference 2024

Thursday 21st of March 2024

Step into the world of community engagement and be captivated by the buzz of inspiration, innovation and insight at the Engaging Communities Conference. Over 100 passionate engagement professionals gathered on Wednesday 13th March for a day brimming with thoughts from sector leaders and immersive workshops. If you couldn’t be there here’s a snapshot of what you missed!

Informative panel discussion with sector leaders Polly Cox from the Housing Ombudsman, Rachel Williamson from the Chartered Institute of Housing, Jess Guandalini from the Regulator of Social Housing, and Moreen Pascal from the Housing Diversity Network.
Their key take aways were the power of listening to lived experiences, the shift towards genuine tenant engagement, and the imperative of fostering a partnership mindset.

Our eight workshops were tailored to ignite creativity and transformation. From reimagining engagement methods to how regulation will impact on engagement workers, each workshop session a offered a chance to learn, network and share.

The keynote address delivered by Charlie Dawson from The Foundation, explored the magic of becoming a customer-led organisation, offering insight into remarkable transformations that have reshaped other sectors and organisations away from housing.

Amidst the exchange of ideas, we had some amazing exhibitors dedicated to shattering stereotypes and pioneering change in the sector. They included Stop Social Housing Stigma, Garden Organic, TFL and TP tracker. Delegates were able to spend time with each one of them, having insightful conversations about their services and products and how it might support their engagement work.
