Tpas members share their views with MHCLG at our regional events

Tuesday 4th of August 2026

This spring, more than 400 members joined us at our regional events across England, where we were delighted to welcome representatives from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

The events gave tenants, landlord and commercial organisation staff the opportunity to have open conversations about some of the biggest issues facing social housing today, including Awaab's Law, floor coverings and social housing stigma.

We're pleased to share a summary report capturing the views, experiences and practical suggestions raised during these discussions, along with MHCLG's responses to the additional questions submitted by delegates.

The feedback highlights the importance of clear communication, meaningful tenant involvement, tackling stigma, improving housing standards and ensuring future policy reflects the experiences of people living in social housing.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our regional events and contributed their ideas. Your voices are helping to shape national conversations and influence the future of social housing policy.
