The aim is to bring neighbours together to create strong, friendly, active communities where crime and anti-social behaviour are less likely to happen.
The vision is that of a caring society that is focused on trust and respect in which people are safe from crime and enjoy a good quality of life. Neighbourhood Watch is about making sure that no one has to feel afraid, vulnerable or isolated in the place where they live.
Placemaking
PlacemakingResource is the website for professionals working to make places better.
Placemaking is the discipline through which regeneration, planning, design and economic development practitioners work to improve places and strengthen the connection between people and their environment.
Shelter
Shelter is a charity that works to alleviate the distress caused by homelessness and bad housing. They do this by giving advice, information and advocacy to people in housing need, and by campaigning for lasting political change to end the housing crisis for good.
