The former Pennine Rambler pub, which will be relaunched as “The Pennine” was bought by Bodmin Road Church in June 2015. The large room has been empty for some time but it is hoped that it will be ready to use by the end of summer 2016.

Iain Drysdale, centre manager said “'At the heart of the vision of Bodmin Road Church is a desire for us to make a positive impact on the communities we are called to serve. The generous donation of £15,000 from Riverside Foundation is helping us make The Pennine a versatile and usable space that will be at the heart of and for the benefit of the people of North Bransholme.'

Riverside’s Julie Riseborough said “We are delighted to have been able to assist the Bodmin Road Church to revamp this really important central resource. The Pennine is at the heart of the North Bransholme community and has a fantastic programme of events. We look forward to seeing this expanded in the future and to seeing the finished room”.
