Government creates a Building Safety Best Practice Group

The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government have published an invitation for social landlords to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in a Social Sector (Building Safety) Best Practice Group.  The Group will examine and test innovative ways to engage residents on fire and building safety issues.   

 

They are particularly interested in landlords which own and manage high rise, complex buildings or sheltered accommodation with a good track record of engaging with their tenants. They are encouraging landlords to bring a resident to be part of the Group and to show how they will engage with their residents on developing and evaluating pilots.

 

Meetings will be held monthly at 2 Marsham Street over a six month period, and we hope that these will commence in early to mid January.
